Tonight there is the Oscar's night. You can see the nominations here: http://a.oscar.abc.com/media/2007/images/nominees/printableballot2007.pdf
You can print and try to guess if your favourites will win the Oscar (TM) or not...
Last year all the pronostics failed and the best movie was Crash. I agreed because Brokeback Mountain was polemic, but a little bit dense and slow. Crash was fresh air, with a fabulous editing and unvelievable scenes.
This year my favourite is Little Miss Sunshine, a small story that reminded me the french movie Amelie because the estrange feeling of happiness you have when the movie ends. The movie continues with you when you come back home. Also there has great performances of great small actors, not big hollywood stars (like Brad Pitt in Babel).
I liked the performance of Abigail Breslin, the heart of the movie, I wanted her to won the Oscar for the Actress supporting role, but after watching Dreamgirls I think Jennifer Hudson should win it. Because she is worth it.
Nothing more for today, just wishing Good Luck to all the nominees (specially to Pan's Labyrinth crew, spanish great crew under mexican directing).
