I know
I don’t have any remote idea of what the hell is happening with the connection, but I know what is happening with my laptop. It’s an old guy, 3 years is a lot for a laptop. It has sticking plasters all around and bluetac in the plug of the CA because the wire falls constantly and the batteries don’t work for more than 5 minutes.
My laptop is trash, and I cannot carry to the library because all the pieces will fall around. And if I want to connect in one of the computers of the library I can die waiting them to start running or I can die waiting for any of them to be free, or I can die waiting for anyone to fix up the broken ones.
The connection broke and I wasn’t able to perform all my internet-based daily activities, like calling home, read the newspaper or talk with my friends. But the worst part was I couldn’t do the exercise for Interactive authoring, so I better go now because it has to be done tomorrow.
Have a nice St. Patrick’s weekend!

Something estrange.
I went Picnicking on Saturday, on Phoenix Park. Was a nice sunny day, but one more time the wind was blowing and roaring in my ears. I liked the park, and I saw how many healthy people are in Dublin in contrast with Dundalk where everybody uses their car to go next corner to buy milk.
The park is huge, well… is the biggest one in Europe and is twice New York’s Central Park. There were the runners, the happy couples, the guys playing sports, the athletes, the junkies…
This week I didn’t see any movie, I just spent some time going to the National Museum and shopping. I didn’t expected to find tanks and planes inside one of the rooms of that museum, I supposed it was going to be only an art gallery, but in fact was better. And the best part was that it was free.
In fact this weekend was very cheap, I only paid to go to Dublin, because the picnic was provided by my friend Daniel and the other activities were free of cost. Sunday was a horrible cloudy and cold day, therefore I stayed at home without wasting more money. I have to save it for Easter if I want to travel back home.

Alternative ending...
My life was as boring as the life of a stone in a forest. Yesterday I wanted to go to the cinema but I changed my mind. I was ready: I have had a shower, I have had lunch, I had my clothes on, but then I realised that I had lots of DVD waiting to be seen and I picked one of them.
I watched Fight Club because I haven’t seen it before (my list of movies to watch is quite long). Is a really good film, with a very strange plot, but… once more I guessed the ending. It was a little bit predictable, not as easy as the romantic comedies, where since you see the trailer you know that the boy and the girl that in the beginning hate each other will finish falling in love.
It can be a great idea to change the typical scheme of the movies, but maybe audiences won’t like. They are like lambs, if you change what are they used to see they become crazy. Imagine a horror movie where you know who is the killer since the beginning or a superhero that looses the final battle against the supervillain or a Disney movie where the common people revolt against the Princess…

Black Mamba or Green Conga? Surrealist Inc.
Yesterday I could not write anything in my blog because I had lost my voice. Yes, I still keep my fingers, but I thought that if the people couldn’t hear what I wanted to say wouldn’t be fair if I had written. Any similarity with reality is a mere coincidence.
Yesterday I was not able to talk, so I went to the only place were you are better considered if you are in total silence: The library. My first intention was going to Tesco, but I failed because of the cold and the wind were shaking my bike and me. Therefore, I stopped in the college to turn back some DVDs and go to the ATM for a cash withdrawal.
Today I retry successfully the epic battle against the elements. I put in my bag all kind of things: Sunglasses, umbrella, baseball cap, wool cap, scarf, gloves… Someone with a weather machine has something against me… because I had to put at the same time the accessories for the sun (because it was sunny) and the accessories for the cold (because it was freezing Baltic).
After my weekly shopping in Tesco (including some sales, Tesco Value and reduced items) I came out and discovered that the weather was completely upside down. Was raining, windy and with no sun. I rode my iron horse and got ready to fight the elements when suddenly rain and wind stopped.
Everything was ok until I past the last Oil Station… a brainless guy have had park his car in the middle of the bikeway, because of him I broke my trousers and nearly loose my future progeny while jumping to the pavement…
Once more, I arrived home fighting weather, cars, and foolish people. I want a Tesco on-campus… NOW!

Eclipsed by the eclipse.
First of all, it appeared in the sky like a gigantic round cheese when the sun came down, no cloud could ruin “her” night. She was shining clear at the top of the blue sky while it was turning black.
All my travel from Dublin back to Dundalk I was observing hypnotised the powerful beauty of our satellite. However, the night had a surprise waiting for us: a lunar eclipse. There was an astonishing moment, the moon started to disappear in the shadow of the earth and slowly turned red.
The night was perfect, no clouds, full moon, full eclipse. Yesterday was the night where maybe the witches tried their spells and witchcrafts. For us the night was quite different. There was a party to celebrate the 21st birthday of one of the Spanish girls.
The party was so good, and at the end, we had the “karaoke moment”, everybody singing and loosing our voices. If anyone was wondering why yesterday was sunny and today was a horrible rainy day, here is the answer: we were terrible singers…

How to hate a washing machine
I hate the washing machine and I hate the drying machine of the Student Village. I hate both. They don’t work properly, don’t comply with the function they were designed for.
The washing machine doesn’t wash.
The drying machine doesn’t dry.
And both are expensive.
Today there was an unexpected problem with the dryer. I put the money, press the button of the cycle, and when I came back one hour later the door was opened, my clothes were completely wet and I had to put more money and re-start…
I hate machines… And people still wonder why I say when I’m angry I start shouting and blaming in all the machines of my house…
The answer is obvious.
